Defensive Driving Discount

In New Jersey, a premium discount is offered to qualifying drivers who have successfully completed a defensive driving course approved by the Motor Vehicle Commission. The discount may apply for up to three years. For information on approved courses, please call the MVC at (609) 292-7500, or log on to the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance's Web site at www.state.nj.us/dobi/dmvschl.htm.

If you have completed one of these approved courses, make a copy of the certificate, write your automobile policy number on it, and mail or fax it to:

We will apply the appropriate premium savings to the policies of all insureds who submit certificates of completion and qualify for the Defensive Driving Discount in accordance with our filings with the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance. The discount will apply to your next renewal policy.
