Congratulations Champion School Program Winners!
May 25, 2011 — Congratulations to Holmdel High School and the Lenape Regional High School District on winning the top awards in the first-ever U Got Brains Champion Schools Program. See pictures of the winning teams here.
Nineteen high school districts across the Garden State competed to develop projects to promote teen driving safety among their peers. A complete list of the winners and their awards is available here.
In addition to hosting the event, NJM is providing the grand prize to each of the two schools—a driving simulator from Virtual Driver Interactive, a California company that develops hardware and software for driver training.
NJ Teen Driving Safety
The Holmdel High School "TV And Film Society" teamed up with the Holmdel Police Department to produce this Public Service Announcement. The video highlights two major issues with teen drivers—texting while driving and friends simply distracting the driver by talking and playing music.
Stay Alive! Don't Text and Drive
The students in the Lenape Regional H.S. District developed and produced these Educational Service Announcements (ESAs) about cell phone-free driving. The ESAs were shown to students at all schools in the district and on the local TV channel for parents and the community to view.
