Who is eligible for NJM's Just Pay It™ service?
Any NJM Insurance Group in-force policyholder whose Bank Account allows electronic debits can use Just Pay It™. Home equity lines of credit, credit card checks and brokerage accounts typically do not allow electronic debits. Make sure to consult with your financial advisor prior to using one of these accounts for NJM's Just Pay It™ service.
Is there a fee charged for using NJM's Just Pay It™ service?
No. The service is free.
What information do I need to make a payment in NJM's Just Pay It™ service?
You'll need your Policy Number (ex. F1234567, all caps and don't include the dash), amount due of your last bill, bank account information and a valid e-mail address.
What if I don't have any of the required information needed to make a payment?
You may call NJM for any payment related reason at 1-800-690-6001, ext. 4010, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Mon.-Fri.) or write us an e-mail at ecash@njm.com at any time.
Why is my e-mail address required?
Your e-mail address will be used to send notifications for both successful payments and payments declined by your financial institution. It will not be used for any other purpose.
Can I pay my bill with a credit, debit or check card?
No. NJM Insurance Group does not currently accept these types of payments.
When will the money be debited from my account?
Funds need to be available and in your account on the scheduled payment date.
What date will be used in making an online payment?
Your payment will be submitted with today's date.
What is the availability of the NJM's Just Pay It™ service?
It is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
How will I know if I've successfully submitted a payment?
You will receive a confirmation number at the end of the transaction, as well as an e-mail notification. If a payment is returned by your financial institution for any reason, you will also receive notification of this return within a few days of making your payment.
What if I don't receive a confirmation e-mail from NJM?
There are two main reasons you may not receive a confirmation e-mail from NJM. Your e-mail address may have been entered incorrectly, or your e-mail's Spam blocker may stop the e-mail from being delivered. In this case, you will have to add ecash@njm.com as an acceptable e-mail user to your account.
Can I cancel a payment once I've submitted it?
No, you'd need to contact NJM in order to discuss the available options. The number for the Accounts Receivable Department is: 1-800-690-6001, ext. 4010, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. You may call from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday.
Can policyholders pay bills other than NJM's policy premiums with Just Pay It™?
No. This is just for paying your NJM Insurance Group policy premiums.
Can I still send a payment in the mail after using NJM's Just Pay It™ service?
Yes. All existing payment options accepted by NJM Insurance Group remain open.
Is the bank account information I use to make a payment through NJM's Just Pay It™ service stored for future use?
No. The bank account information is only used to complete the one-time payment for which it is entered.
Is the NJM Insurance Group online payment site secure?
Yes. The process uses 128-bit SSL encryption. The HTTPS in the Web address and lock icon at the lower right hand corner of your Internet browser signify the security features.
Are there any special computer requirements needed to use Just Pay It™?
Your PC Internet browser needs to support 128-bit encryption. Most versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape now support this security feature.
What happens if an unauthorized transaction occurs with my account?
You may become responsible for the unauthorized payment if you fail to notify NJM. If you notify us within 2 business days, your loss cannot exceed $50.00. Business days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. EST through 5:00 p.m. EST, exclusive of holidays. If you do not notify us within 2 business days, you could be held responsible for up to $500.00 of the unauthorized transaction.
If an unauthorized transaction appears on your periodic statement, you must notify us within 60 days of transmittal of the statement, or you may become responsible for the payment. Failure to notify us within the specified time frame could result in you becoming legally liable for the entire amount of the unauthorized transaction. However, if your delay in notifying us was due to extenuating circumstances, we may extend these time frames. See the Terms and Conditions for more information.
