Personal Auto Underwriting Rules

|
You may be offered a new Personal Auto policy by New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company if:

Pennsylvania:
|
- All drivers listed on the application have been licensed and driving in the United States for the past two years; and
- There are no residents eligible to obtain a driver's license or permit within the first 12 months of the policy; and
- All drivers are free of any at-fault accidents, motor vehicle violations and/or license suspensions within the past three years. However, if all drivers listed on the application meet all underwriting rules and one operator has one motor vehicle violation resulting in no more than two violation points, that violation may be waived for eligibility purposes; and
- All of the automobiles on the policy are registered or leased to you or your resident spouse/civil union partner and garaged at the application address; and
- You can demonstrate continuous insurance coverage for three years immediately preceding the date of application.

- All drivers listed on the application are free of any at-fault accidents, motor vehicle violations and/or license suspensions within the past three years. However, NJM may, at its discretion, excuse a single motor vehicle violation of no more than two points as long as it is the only infraction for all drivers listed on the application; and
- All of the automobiles on the policy are registered or leased to you or your resident spouse and garaged at the application address; and
- You are able to demonstrate continuous insurance coverage for the three years immediately preceding the date of application.
