FIRE SAFETY This video program presents a basic description of the fire triangle and the combination of heat, fuel and oxygen, which is necessary to complete that triangle. In addition, Class A, Class B and Class C fires are discussed in detail. After these issues are discussed, the program presents a fire prevention safety guideline for use in the workplace. Basic discussions are then given on protecting electrical wiring from damage, securing covers at all junction and panelboard boxes, not overloading circuit breakers, and the use of lockout/tagout procedures when testing circuits. The program also discusses static electricity, extension cords and material handling devices. A hot work permit system is described for those facilities involved in welding or burning.
