NOISE AND HEARING CONSERVATION —
This video program explains that although our ears are exposed to noise nearly 24 hours a day, most of those sounds we encounter pose no risk to our ability to hear. However, this is not always true in the workplace where there are many hazards that can put hearing ability at risk. This video program covers the anatomy of the ear, categories of noise and testing noise levels. It also demonstrates how engineering control measures, administrative control measures and personal protective equipment can be used to minimize an employee's exposure to high noise levels.
