CONVEYOR SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE
— This videotape reviews conveyors and the hazards associated with working on or around conveyors. Topics such as shear points, pinch points, nip points and spill points are covered. Oscillating, vibrating, overhead conveyor systems and reciprocating conveyors also are discussed. The necessity of drive guards and coupling guards, having a lockout/tagout system, and avoiding loose jewelry and clothing are covered, as well as using approved crossing areas. Only approved, trained operators should use the conveyor. (10 Minutes)
