CPR: THE NEW BASIC PROCEDURES —
This CPR training film is designed for laypersons. It incorporates the newest standards which were published by the Journal of the American Medical Association in the summer of 1986. These procedures have been adopted by the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross. The film features an uninterrupted “Real-Time” demonstration of CPR and a realistic enactment of a CPR rescue. With this rescue, warning signs of heart attack are stressed. The film also demonstrates the Heimlich maneuver in helping clear airway obstructions. Demonstrations along with verbal description enables employees to learn this procedure without extreme difficulty. (22 Minutes)

BASIC FIRST AID —
This video program uses humor to discuss sprains and muscle pulls. It also covers lacerations and subsequent bleeding with attention paid to emphasize adherence to OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogen Standard. Also addressed are broken bones, shock and burns. Finally, artificial respiration and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are addressed. (15 Minutes)

FIRST AID ON THE JOB: INITIAL RESPONSE —
The basic action steps an employee should take in those first few crucial minutes after an accident are presented. Very understandable details concerning moving a victim, checking the airway, breathing and circulation, stopping bleeding, and checking for and preventing shock are discussed. Bloodborne pathogen precautions are incorporated in this presentation. The program is hosted by Bobby Sherman, a former singer and teen idol, who is now an E.M.T. (26 Minutes)
