Stonis Elected Chairman; Kuiken as Vice Chairman

Staudinger, Quintana, Zetterstrom and Colavita tabbed as new Directors

Anthony M. Stonis has been elected Chairman and Douglas R. Kuiken as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company (NJM).

New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company operates exclusively for the benefit of policyholders. Through prudent underwriting and careful stewardship, NJM has returned more than $4.5 billion in dividends to policyholders since 1918. NJM is the Garden State's largest provider of Workers' Compensation and Personal Auto insurance, and among the leading writers of Commercial Auto and Residential coverages. NJM also operates three subsidiary insurance companies and NJM Bank FSB, which provides checking, savings and loan accounts with the same cost efficiency and quality service as NJM's insurance policies.

NJM's Board of Directors solely represents the interests of policyholders. Accordingly, the Board membership is comprised primarily of officials from a broad spectrum of companies that are insured by NJM as well as individuals with personal coverage.

Mr. Kuiken joined the family business in 1969 and is a Director as well as President. He is a resident of Wyckoff, N.J., and was first elected to NJM's Board in 2003.

In addition, four new Directors were elected.

Staudinger is President and Chief Executive Officer of National Manufacturing Company, Inc., of Chatham, N.J., a manufacturer of engineered deep drawn enclosures for medical devices, aerospace, electronics and energy storage products. Celestina S. Quintana is President of Dorno Management Corporation, Union City, N.J. Dorno operates nine McDonald's restaurants throughout Northern New Jersey. Mrs. Quintana is a resident of Cranford. Her company has been a Workers' Compensation policyholder since 2002.

Two veteran NJM Officers also have been elected to the Board of Directors – Robert H. Zetterstrom of Ringoes, N.J., and Christopher J. Colavita of Lambertville, N.J.

Mr. Zetterstrom is NJM's Vice President and General Counsel. He joined the Company in 1996 as a staff attorney in the Law & Regulation Department and later served as Assistant Vice President, Assistant Vice President and Corporate Counsel, and Vice President and Corporate Counsel before being elected to his current position in April 2008. He earned his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 2001.
