Meet Carsten Boethig
NJM Teen Driver Safety Officer

Carsten Boethig

Carsten Boethig served as a New Jersey State Police officer for more than 25 years. He retired from that position in October 2012 and has represented NJM since June 2013 as the Company's first Teen Driver Safety Officer.

Carsten has 12 years of experience as a road duty Trooper and has investigated and assisted with many serious and fatal crashes. He has served in various areas, including:

  • The Motor Vehicle Racing Control Unit
  • The Traffic & Public Safety Bureau
  • The Highway Traffic Safety Unit

In addition, just prior to retiring from the New Jersey State Police, Carsten served 1½ years as the Head of the School & Traffic Safety Unit. In this role he was responsible for enforcement and education of Teen Driver Safety as well as the supervision of 18 Troopers who were assigned to high schools as School Resource Officers.

Meet Pat McCormick
NJM Teen Driver Safety Officer

Pat McCormick

Pat McCormick served as a West Windsor Township Police Officer for 25 years. He retired from that position in August 2014 and has represented NJM since September 2014 as a Teen Driver Safety Officer. Pat has 11 years of experience in the Patrol Division and has investigated and supervised numerous serious and fatal motor vehicle accidents. He has served in many different areas of policing, including:

  • The Patrol Division
  • The Juvenile Bureau
  • The Detective Bureau
  • Internal Affairs Bureau

Additionally, the last six years of his career Pat served as a Patrol Lieutenant and supervised the Patrol Division as well as the Traffic Bureau. Throughout his career, Pat was involved with several youth programs such as DARE and the West Windsor Township Police Youth Academy.
