This program follows the training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.1030. Taking precautions to protect yourself are emphasized. This program cites several examples of bloodborne pathogens, including Hepatitis B Virus and HIV and other potentially infectious body fluids. Potential routes of entry, universal precautions, exposure control plan, personal protective equipment, clean-up protocols and the importance of hand-washing are covered.
