Former Pennsylvania State Police Master Trooper to Represent NJM With Teen Driver Safety Messaging

WEST TRENTON, NJ — NJM Insurance Group, a leading auto insurer and teen driver safety advocate in the Mid-Atlantic region, has hired Robin Mungo, former Pennsylvania State Police Department Master Trooper, to help lead the expansion of its award-winning Teen Driver Safety Programs. In her role, Mungo will manage the coordination and presentation of NJM's safety efforts in Western Pennsylvania.

"As NJM expands into new markets, we are fortunate to partner with experienced safety professionals and organizations that allow our Teen Driver Safety initiatives to contribute to a culture of safety," said Tracy McManimon, NJM Senior Vice President & Chief Underwriting Officer. "Robin's background and commitment to service aligns with NJM's vision for this program, and we are confident that she will help us maximize our impact as we expand our commitment to safety into new communities."

Mungo brings NJM nearly 25 years of experience with the Pennsylvania State Police Department, where she held positions as patrol officer, criminal investigator, public information officer, and recruiter. She currently serves her community as a Pennsylvania Certified Driving Instructor and a member of the diversity training team at DBA Training Solutions, LLC, in Pittsburgh. Mungo is also President of Allegheny County Camp Cadet.

"As a member of the state police for over two decades, my goal has always been to keep people safe. I witnessed first-hand the impact that effective safe driving messaging has on teens and communities," said Mungo. "I am thrilled to help bring NJM's incredible teen driver safety programs to the students, parents, and school districts of Western Pennsylvania."

About NJM Insurance Group's Teen Driver Safety Programs

NJM's Teen Driver Safety Programs launched in honor of the company's 100th anniversary in 2013 and are offered at no cost to high schools in Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The Programs consist of "Share the Keys," a research-based presentation designed to provide parents and their teen drivers with the tools they need to build safe driving habits, and "What Do You Consider Lethal?," a campaign created by Impact Teen Drivers to help teens make responsible decisions while driving. The Programs have reached more than 150,000 students in New Jersey and more than 2,000 parents and students in nine Pennsylvania counties. In 2016, the National Safety Council honored the program with its Teen Driver Safety Leadership Award. This coveted honor recognizes organizations that work to improve teen driver safety and save lives through dedicated community outreach and innovative educational programming.
