We make sure businesses can get their cars and trucks back on the road with award-winning claims service.
What Do I Need To File a Claim?
- Your policy number
- Information about you (contact info, relationship to policyholder, etc.)
- Date and time of the incident
- Incident location
- Description of incident/damage
- Photos of damage (if available)
- Names (and contact information, if available) of anyone in your vehicle who was injured
What To Expect
Your claim will be assigned to an adjuster or adjusters, depending on the type of claim submitted. The adjuster will contact you to verify details about the loss. If your vehicle was damaged, you and the adjuster will discuss your options for vehicle repair, including finding service providers and obtaining estimates. You have the right to choose your own service providers, or you can use a service provider in NJM’s Premier Car Care Program. If you sustained injuries as a result of an accident, you may be contacted by a Personal Injury adjuster, who can answer questions about options and next steps.
If someone else is responsible, in whole or in part, for either the damage to your vehicle or the injuries suffered in a covered accident, the assigned adjuster will explain the process of recovering certain damages from the responsible party.
Inspection and Repairs
Depending on the type of damage, you might be asked to take pictures or allow an NJM representative to inspect your vehicle. If repair costs exceed estimated costs, the repair shop will review the difference with NJM in order to provide you the best service.
