Performance in J.D. Power U.S. Auto Insurance Study demonstrates continued commitment to policyholders

WEST TRENTON, NJ — NJM Insurance Company, one of New Jersey's leading automobile insurers, once again achieved among the highest customer satisfaction scores for personal auto insurers in the annual J.D. Power U.S. Auto Insurance Study℠. NJM attained a score of 874 on a 1,000 point scale, significantly higher than the regional (Mid-Atlantic) and national averages, which were both 819. NJM has consistently scored well above the national average in each of the past nine years it has been included in the study.

The scores are especially important to NJM because the J.D. Power Study is based on the direct feedback of an insurer's customers with respect to their satisfaction across five factors (in order of importance): Interaction; Policy Offerings; Price; Billing Process and Policy Information; and Claims. NJM's customers once again ranked it well above the industry average in every category.

"Our Company was founded more than 100 years ago by policyholders for policyholders," said Bernie Flynn, NJM President & CEO. "And because we operate in a mutual fashion, exclusively for their service and benefit, the most important measurement of our success is our policyholders' satisfaction with the services we provide, which is why we're delighted they rated us so highly in this year's Study."

NJM's rating in the J.D. Power Study is consistent with that of a leading national consumer magazine, which earlier this year ranked NJM among the highest for overall satisfaction for auto insurers over a span of more than two decades. The consistency in which NJM has exceeded customer satisfaction standards is a major reason why the Company enjoys a customer retention rate of nearly 95%.
