NJM Welcomes Veteran Executive Joan Wainwright to Board of Directors
April 30, 2019WEST TRENTON, NJ — The Board of Directors of NJM Insurance Group, a leading property and casualty insurer in the Mid-Atlantic region, has elected Joan Wainwright, president of channel and customer experience at TE Connectivity, as its newest member.
Wainwright joins NJM with an extensive background in communications, marketing, and customer experience. She joined TE, a global technology and manufacturing leader, in 2006. In her current role, she leads TE's Global Channel business, which today generates $2 billion in annual sales around the world. She also created the company's Customer Experience program, which has resulted in five years of continuous improvement and a 20-point increase in its Net Promoter Score.
"After an extensive search, it became apparent that Joan would be a great fit from an experience, expertise, and perhaps most important, a culture standpoint," said Mitch Livingston, NJM president and CEO. "Her skillset will be an excellent complement to our existing board members, and her insight will be instrumental as we continue to expand the NJM brand to a more regional audience."

Wainwright earned an MBA from Temple University and a BA in Communications from the University of Delaware. Prior to joining TE Connectivity, Wainwright served as the vice president of public affairs at Merck & Co., Inc., and as the deputy commissioner of communications at the U.S. Social Security Administration.
