NJM Insurance Group Donates $25,000 to The Pittsburgh Foundation's Emergency Action Fund

WEST TRENTON, NJ — NJM Insurance Group, a leading property and casualty insurer in the Mid-Atlantic region, has donated $25,000 to the Emergency Action Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation. The Emergency Action Fund was created in direct response to the coronavirus pandemic and aids emergency service providers and nonprofit organizations engaged on the front lines of recovery in and around Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
"As communities and frankly, the world, continue to be impacted by this pandemic, organizations have a responsibility to support nonprofits working to meet ever-growing demands for essential services like healthcare, safety, food, and shelter," said Michael Van Wagner, NJM Vice President. "NJM is proud to stand beside The Pittsburgh Foundation as they address the challenges resulting from the pandemic."
The Emergency Action Fund assists low-income households in Allegheny, Beaver, and Westmoreland counties. NJM's donation will support nonprofits serving individuals impacted by COVID-19, community health facilities, and small arts organizations facing the loss of revenue from closures.
Since the COVID-19 crisis began, the Emergency Action Fund has raised more than $8 million and issued more than 200 grants to nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and community healthcare providers assisting individuals through the pandemic.

"The Emergency Action Fund, with donations from corporations like NJM Insurance Group, our donors, individuals, and other foundations, has shown the potential of communities to come together to overcome unprecedented adversity and meet essential needs."
