For more than a century, NJM has been protecting customers through uncertain times — and these are indeed uncertain times. One thing is certain though — NJM will be here for you so you can focus on what matters most — the health and safety of yourselves and loved ones.
This is why we recently announced the NJM Policyholder Relief Program, which offers a 15% refund on three months of annual personal auto policy premiums in recognition of policyholders' reduced driving during this period. This relief is a natural extension of NJM's commitment to support our policyholders and the communities we are privileged to serve.
The refund applies to NJM personal auto policies, active as of April 1, 2020, and there is nothing you need to do — you are automatically enrolled in this program. The refund will be made in one of two ways. If your last payment to NJM was through our automatic premium payment plan using your bank account, you will receive a credit to that bank account. If you paid your premium using any other form of payment, you will receive a check in the mail.
We have taken additional steps to help policyholders, including extending premium payment deadlines, and using maximum flexibility to create special payment plans.
