Business Insurance FAQs for New Applicants
Commercial excess and umbrella insurance is available to customers with an NJM ProEdge Businessowners Policy that has a minimum liability limit of $1 million.
You can apply for commercial excess and umbrella insurance when you apply for a ProEdge Businessowners Policy.
If you already have a ProEdge Businessowners Policy, log in and look for the Get a Quote button, or contact your agent for assistance.
At this time, you do not need to use an agent to continue your existing NJM Business Insurance policies. However, if you have eight or more employees and want to apply for other NJM Insurance products, we may ask you to find an agent.
If you are an existing NJM policyholder with access to Manage Your Policy, log in and select "Get a Quote." You can retrieve your quote from the next screen.
If you are new to NJM, you can retrieve a quote by visiting commercial auto or ProEdge Businessowners Policy and selecting "Continue with a Saved Quote." You'll need your reference number and some other information you provided when you started your quote, like your ZIP Code and phone number.
Businesses that work with an agent cannot retrieve a quote that an agent started. Speak with your agent to continue a quote.

If your business has less than eight employees, you can get a quote online for commercial auto, ProEdge Businessowners Policy, or commercial excess and umbrella insurance. If your business has eight or more employees and you want to apply for new NJM Business Insurance products, we ask that you work with an agent, who can help to meet the complex insurance needs of your business, at no cost to you. Find an agent.
If you previously used an agent to apply for NJM Business Insurance, contact your agent to apply for a new quote.
