What Can Auto Insurance Cover in New Jersey?
New Jersey No-Fault Insurance
New Jersey is considered a no-fault insurance state. This means that if you, or an individual covered by your policy, is injured in an auto accident, your policy pays for reasonable and necessary medical expenses (up to your chosen limit), regardless of who caused the accident. Personal Injury Protection (PIP) has two parts:

Dividends
New Jersey policyholders are eligible to receive dividends,∥ which reduce the overall cost of auto and home insurance.
Dividends amount to a percentage of the premium you paid on your prior year's policy. New Jersey policyholders with NJM Auto, Homeowners, Condo, or Renters Insurance receive a dividend that is applied as a credit to the policy premium when the policy renews the following year.
New Jersey policyholders with NJM Auto Insurance may also receive a second dividend, known as a "special dividend," which comes in the form of a check.
You're going to love NJM.
