Special Notice for New York Customers

The coronavirus has caused significant financial impact to our communities. To assist customers in need of relief, and in accordance with the New York Department of Financial Service's Emergency Regulation 11 NYCRR 229, NJM will provide upon request:

  • 60-day extensions to those policyholders with premium payments due who are in need of assistance;

  • A 60-day grace period for the cancellation or non-renewal of an insurance policy for failure to pay premiums;

  • A payment plan that allows late premiums to be repaid in installments over a 12-month period.

During this 60-day period, NJM policyholders will not be subject to any late fees, adverse debt collection or credit actions for failing to pay their premiums. Visit the New York Department of Financial Services for more information regarding DFS regulatory actions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
